Blood pressure, foot clinic, exercise classes, chair yoga, and other health related items                                     .

Blood Pressure Screening: held on Wednesday, January 8 and 23 from 11:00 until noon. This is a FREE service.

Foot Clinic Update: Ruth Inman has permanently retired from doing Foot Care at The Gathering Place. We are in the process of finding someone to replace her. If you know of someone please let Sue know.

Massage Therapist! We have a new massage therapist offering chair massage. Her name is Alicia Jenski, LMT. She will be here on Thursday, January 9 and 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:40 a.m. You can sign up for 15 or 30 minutes. Cost is $10 per 20 minute and $20 for 40 minute session. Call TGP to make an appointment, 608-868-3500. If you have to cancel please do so as soon as possible so we can schedule other people.

Chair Yoga: 
designed around a chair and standing poses. Offered on Monday and Wednesday at 9:00.  No Charge!

 

EXERCISE CLASSES

Stretching Class:  GOOD NEWS! Katy's Thursday morning stretching class will resume on Thursday, July 9 at 10:45 am with a few changes. Classes will be held out of doors on the lower level. Mats must be 6 feet apart. If you enter the building to get your mat you must wear a mask. Bathroom facilities will not be available.

The cost is $3.00 per person. No registration required. Feel free to give Katy a call with any questions at 608-295-2707.

Zumba Gold:
meets every Monday & Wednesday from 9:00 to 9:45.  Licensed instructor, Jackie Richardson, takes this class to a lower level that provides a non-intimidating opportunity for non-dancers, new exercisers or those who have previously hesitated to participate in a group class. The class includes several levels of exercise. Call Edgerton Hospital at 608-884-1609 for more information and to register for the next session. All levels welcome!

Tai Chi: this group meets every Monday at 10:00.  Cost is $3.00 per session. Feel free to check out one class for free. Tai Chi can have many benefits; decreased stress and anxiety; increased energy and stamina; increased flexibility; balance and agility to name a few.

Strong Women: Strong Women is a strength training class to help women maintain muscle mass, strength and function as they age. Meets every Tuesday & Thursday at 9:15. Classes run for 12 weeks for the cost of $36.

Dance Aerobics: Move at your own pace and gradually increase your movements. They will be meeting Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 a.m.  Each class is $3.00. Try the first class for free.  Call Nancy at 608-883-2931 for more information.

EXERCISE ROOM-Our exercise room will be open for one person at a time. You will need to call 608-868-3500 to reserve your time. You will need to wear a mask coming into the building, but not while exercising. After each person is done we will disinfect the room so it is ready for the next person.
