Quilting Club meets 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 1 p.m. This month's dates are September 11 and 25.

Quilt Tying Help Wanted!  Every Tuesday morning from 9:00 to noon, the Quilt Tying group tie quilts to give away to people in need. When finished they donate them to many different local charities. If you have a few spare hours on Tuesday morning, they could really use your help. A few of the ladies have moved or retired. Stop in and see how you can help. No experience needed.

New Quilt Display!
This month's quilt is unusual. It was purchased at an estate sale in Janesville in 2013.  This yo-yo quilt was made in the 1930s and given to a son and daughter-in-law as a wedding gift in 1940. It was then put in a chest and never used or laundered. The pristine condition is the way it was found. It is very colorful with oranges, reds, blues, yellows, pink and pattern colors. This quilt was purchased for a very good price by Barbara Hass because she loved the look. Check out this unique quilt in our conference room.

WIC Baby Blankets
Babies who benefit from these talents are part of this area's Women Infant Children (WIC) Program and the goal of the 30" x 40" quilts is to promote breastfeeding. The next WIC work/fun day will be Thursday, January 24 at The Gathering Place. Volunteers who would like to share their talents to sew, cut, quilt, tie or bind are welcome. The group runs from 9:00 to 3:00.
