Quilting

Quilting Club meets 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 1 p.m. This month's dates are September 10 and 24

Quilt Tying Help Wanted!  Every Tuesday morning from 9:00 to noon, the Quilt Tying group tie quilts to give away to people in need. When finished they donate them to many different local charities. If you have a few spare hours on Tuesday morning, they could really use your help. A few of the ladies have moved or retired. Stop in and see how you can help. No experience needed.

Pumpkin Quilt Display
This 58" x 72" cotton and wool quilt was hand and machine embroidered by Karla Nitz in 2012 and depicts autumn themed items such as pumpkins, a cornucopia, berries and fall flowers. It is a Hearts to Hands pattern that was quilted by Kelly Edwards. Stop in our Conference Room and see this beautiful quilt. The fall colors are amazing!

WIC Baby Blankets
Babies who benefit from these talents are part of this area's Women Infant Children (WIC) Program and the goal of the 30" x 40" quilts is to promote breastfeeding. The next WIC work/fun day will be Thursday, September 26 at The Gathering Place from 9:00 to 3:00. Volunteers who would like to share their talents to sew, cut, quilt, tie or bind are welcome.
