Summer Concert Series featuring All That Jazz

Enjoy a lovely evening on The Gathering Greens with some of the best music in the midwest. This week features The Big Band music of All That Jazz! There is no better way to experience the Big Band sound than a live performance! All That Jazz is a regular feature at the Madison Art Fair on the Square and Tunes at the Monona Terrace, has opened shows for Rockapella and Tom Wopat, and recently gained national exposure on the CBS Early Show. The band has also begun an outreach program for the “next generation” of Jazz musicians, and has performed with and for students in Evansville, McFarland, Mt. Horeb, Spring Green, Verona, and Waunakee, WI.

Summer Concert Series featuring The Jimmy

Enjoy a lovely evening on The Gathering Greens with some of the best music in the midwest. This week the 2024 concert series goes out with a bang featuring The Jimmys! The Jimmys is an award-winning festival favorite bringing people together from coast to coast, Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean for over fourteen  years! The Jimmys feature band leader Jimmy Voegeli phenomenal Hammond B-3 keyboardist, singer and songwriter; an experienced killer rhythm section steeped in blues with Perry Weber on guitar, Chris Sandoval on drums and John Wartenwieler on bass and the icing on the cake is the best horn section in the Midwest—Pete Ross on saxophone, Mike Boman on trumpet and Joe Goltz on trombone. It doesn’t get any better than this!

We are headed to Jefferson and starting our day at Brickhaus for a hot coffee and something sweet. Then off to Wood and Wool Shop for a class on wool felting a bunny or birdie. The owner Erin will teach the art of needle felting to completion, leaving with a finished product. After working up an appetite, we will finish the day with lunch overlooking the river at Heron’s Landing. Lunch and coffee paid by individual.
